Following the success of their inaugural vinyl, Sondela Recordings proudly present Sondela Selects Vol. 2, a 12” package featuring four landmark tracks from the label’s catalogue. This collection captures Sondela’s unique voice within Afro-inspired electronic music — from emotive vocal journeys to forward-thinking club anthems.

Opening the record, South Africa’s FKA Mash joins forces with the inimitable Sio on ‘Bumblebee’, a deep and soulful cut that pairs intricate production with Sio’s emotive vocals to striking effect. Next comes Thakzin’s groundbreaking ‘The Magnificent Dance’ — a release of historic significance that gave birth to the now globally recognised subgenre ‘3Step’. Fusing amapiano grooves with deep house textures, it stands as one of the label’s most defining tracks.

On the B-side, Henrik Schwarz reimagines Mike Steva and Stevo Atambire’s ‘Destiny Song’, blending Stevo’s kologo and vocals with Schwarz’s refined electronic touch, resulting in a remix that is both hypnotic and transcendent. Closing the collection, Sammi Ferrer and Chaleee deliver the peak-time weapon ‘Champagne’, a track that has become a favourite of Black Coffee, Louie Vega, and Shimza, and has lit up dancefloors across Europe and beyond.
